Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Texas

Creditor

a guy keeps calling me at work about a 5 year old debt that I was unable to repay (credit card) unsecured....he says he has been hired and wants to make a deal...I told him I can't do anything now and he wants to take a recorded statement...should I go through with that...??? I keep telling him he is not allowed to call me at work and he is yelling, name calling etc.. and disrupting me at the office..He is relentless...Can he continue to call me at work and should I just let him take a recorded statement telling him I can't pay them back..

Re: Creditor

Don't authorize him to record anything at all. Try filing complaints with every state agency you can and talk with the consumer protection division of the TX office of the attorney general.
