Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Texas
is it criminal trespassing if i was unaware i was trespassing? I was with a kid who claimed the house was his. he threw a rock through the front door which i realized is stupid but he claimed he owned the house and it's not illegal to throw a rock through your own front door. If i was told the truth i wouldn't have stepped inside the house but i did and i am being charged with criminal trespassing.

You need a lawyer. You have a potential defense but not very believable (that a kid would throw a rock through the front door.....) Your offense is a class B misdemeanor which carries up to 6 months in jail and up to a $2,000 fine.
