Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Texas

No statements-No copies of Original letters

Over 2 yrs ago I hired an atty.He required quite a bit of money before he would start on the case. In that time I have never recieved a statement from nor have I recieved a copy of their letters to the other atty. Or his to them. A few months ago I sent him a certified letter telling him that I no longer wanted to use him and stated why. I have still not heard from him by letter, I have called and ask for a refund and he told me he would have to go thru my files to see how many hours. To this day I have not recieved a statement. Now what?
