Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Texas

is this unethical of a lawyer?

I am in a lawsuit for a wrongful death and I was going to use the same lawyer that everyone in my family was using. He asked me all kinds of question and then decided that he couldn't represent me. Now he is using everything I said against me in the lawsuit. Is this legally right? Is there anything that can be done?
