Legal Question in Legal Malpractice in Texas
I was charged with possession of marijuana back on June 15th for about 1.5 grams. Towards the beginning of this month (around the 8th), I had received a ticket for paraphernalia. I have had no charge in any area of the law and am 20 years of age. This is my first time offense so basically, I'm wondering what kind of punishment I could be looking at.

If you take a plea agreement, you are likely going to get deferred adjudication or regular probation (6 months to a year). You likely will not have to do any jail time because you do not have a prior criminal record. Hire a criminal defense attorney to negotiate a good deal for you and make sure there are not any technical problems that can be used in your defense.
