Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Texas
Hello, 6 months ago I had surgery on my shoulder for a possible rotator cuff tear. I had at least 2 people read the MRI to make certain. One in surgery no tear was evident but he performed a procedure that took off and shaved the end of my clavicle. We had never even heard of this procedure prior to the surgery. He says recover 2/3 weeks. I then got frozen shoulder and was unable to lift my arm at all. I have since switched doctors since he did not diagnose the frozen shoulder although given the opportunity. Movement is beginning to come back but not without pain and now they feel I have possible RSD and sending me to a pain specialist. I am much worse than prior to surgery. I have been unable to work (teach martial arts). It has impacted my family, vacations are select of what I can do, etc. I have considered suing the surgeon. First for the lack of information regarding this alternative surgery and also for the lack of diagnosis afterwards. What do you think?

You will need to get all medical records from the first surgeon and second surgeon. All records will need to be reviewed by an orthopedic surgeon to determine if your condition was caused by malpractice or just known complications of the surgery.
Once you get all records, you will need to contact a medical malpractice lawyer in the DFW area.

Sincerely,
I'm sorry to hear about your injury. You will need to get your medical records and talk to a personal injury lawyer. Your lawyer will get an orthopedic surgeon to review these records to determine whether or not your injury was a result of medical malpractice. I have an orthopedic doctor in the DFW area that I have sent numerous clients to that would be able to review your records and determine the cause of your injury. Feel free to call me at 512-472-8318.
