Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Texas
I work in a dental office which is part of a medical clinic. I was told I had to have a TB skin test, which was administered by a nurse. When they (the nurses and doctor there) checked it, there was a reaction on the site. The doctor prescribed a chest xray at the hospital, and I was sent there that day. It all came back as clear. A nurse said it may be that I I was allergic to the TB skin test, and may have that sort of a reaction the next time. Now they want me to fill out info for them so they can make me a chart for the office. My question is- was itr legal for the doctor at the clinic to send me to the hospital for a chest xray, when I have never been a patient there, much less filled out any health history or release of info.

You are in charge of your health and medical care.
It is not unreasonable for them to be proactive when your test caused a reaction.
If you have concerns about your health, go see your internist/family doctor.
If you do not want to fill out the information for the chart, I would look for a job somewhere else.
