Legal Question in Military Law in Texas
Active duty military and apartments
My husband had an apartment before he went to Iraq, and his lease went up right when he left. They are saying that he owes 2000 dollars because he didn't give notice of his leave, even though i gave them a copy of his orders stating the date he left. What sort of documentation do i need to prove that he doesn't need to pay because he was sent to war.

Look on the leasing agreement for the paragraph that indicates that based on military orders he could terminate the lease early.
