Legal Question in Military Law in Texas
general discharge. honorable conditions
My son is getting chaptered from the Army with a gen. discharge, hon conditions. What can he do prior to leaving the service to improve his chance for an upgrade? He was in Iraq and came home to a divorce, no house, no money, bad credit and over all bad times. He was emotionally troubled. He turned to smoking pot...twice..and was chaptered. Is there special VA counseling, metigating circumstance therapy that is beneficial fo documenting the troubling mitigating circumstances?
