Legal Question in Military Law in Texas
My husband went awol from the army over a year ago. I do not know where he is and i want to get a divorce from him. Do I have to do this military style or can i go to the local judge? I do know he does not have a warrent as of yet because I have called about it several times. What should I do?

Based on what you have written, you need to file a petition for divorce in Harris County (according to your zip code). Then proceed with the divorce process - getting your spouse served, mediation (if required), division of community property, division of community debts, etc. There are many potential options which may be available to you. If my local law firm can assist you with this legal issue or any other legal matter, please contact us. The above response given is not intended to create, nor does it create an on-going duty to respond to questions.
