Legal Question in Military Law in Texas

larceny for slot machine malfunction

My wife is playing slot machines and according to my wife one of the machines has program malfunction or error that she found out by accident that it could pay more than it should be. .. She said that sometimes she does that technique or sequence but there are times that it doesnt do anything like paying her more or double. She said sometimes it work sometimes it doesnt, she has to just try and try the sequence till it did it.. Is it illegal? Or can she be charged for larceny for what she done? She did not use any special instrument or anything its just the machines program error that she found out by accident she said.

I'm in the military, I have no knowledge, and I'm not in the area of the slot machine but I'm being charged for larceny.
