Legal Question in Military Law in Texas
military deserter from tunisia wants to visit tunisia
tunisian military member came to america for training seven years ago and never returned back. he went awol. he is now married and wants to go home to visit this summer. he is aware that he may have problems but we want to know what he may be facing.will he go to jail or can we refund the military for money spent on him?

Most likely it will depend on Tunisia law. However, if he is a US citizen now (due to his marriage or otherwise) he may have some rights and may be okay. Otherwise, a thorough research on Tunisia law is required. I will not suggest visiting until he is a US citizen.
