Legal Question in Military Law in Texas

MIlitary Member In IRAQ

I am a soldier currently in Iraq, and i got a loan for 2,2oo dollars in March of 2005 and made payments up until my deployment, when suddnly my account balance jumped over 4000 dollars i asked the company for a detailed statment but never recived one. For the past 10 months i have been deployed i havnt paid the bill because i cant afford to pay this amount. Since ive been here the comapny has harrased both of my parnents and my wife a scared them into making payments, with threats of informing my commander. which will get me in trouble.lol. they have released my account information to my parents. Do i have any grounds for a harrassment case, or am i covered by the soldier saloirs releif act?

1. Your wife should contact the Legal Assistance Office at your home base, or contact an attorney in your home town who is familiar with the Soldier's and Sailor's Civil Relief Act.

2. There are likely some legal issues with your command.
