former spouse protection act
does former spouse give up military priviledges and percentage of retirement pay upon remarriage or just the military priviledges?is it 10 or 20 years of marriage to active duty member that qualifies a former spouse.

Without more information, it is difficult to provide you a clear answer. Generally and dependent upon the language contained within the original decree, a former spouse will forego military privileges upon remarriage. The entitlment to any retirement pay may be also subject, but that would be dependent to the language in the decree.
