Generally, there is a minor settlement conference with the court prior to a final settlement being paid. The court will want to know if all the medical bills are paid or will be paid. Either way, the lawyer representing you as the parent of the child must make sure all medical bills are paid. Usually, hospital liens are not filed with the court. They are filed with the county clerk and you or your attorney will need to request lien information.
Ask the lawyer representing you and the attorney ad litem appointed by the court to review the settlement. You have not provided enough information to otherwise answer the question.
