Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas
I was in an accident yesterday and when I called to make a claim I found out my policy had lapsed. What do I do now.

Unfortunately, there is no real silver bullet here. If you were in a single vehicle accident and your insurance policy had lapsed, you will usually have to pay the repairs out of your pocket. It may be helpful for you to get an understanding of exactly why your policy had "lapsed". If your policy was not in force at the time of the crash your insurance company will not pay.

If another party was involved, then you can make a claim against that party's insurance. In regard to your old policy, there may be an issue about whether or not you should have been covered. But, I have no information regarding that issue.
