Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

Assault

My husband was assaulted by our neighbor on our property. The man who did intentially and knowingly caused bodily harm to my husband. He also plained what he did by voicing himself in front on a city official. He followed through his actions after the city inspectore left. My husband was hit right above his temple with a 5/8 succer rod and a chain across his back several times. Other than assault and battery charges what other charges else can be brought against this man?

Re: Assault

As for criminal charges, it would seem he should be charged with aggravated assault and battery with a deadly weapon. A serious felony.

He can be sued civily for assault and battery and a money judgment obtained against him if the proof is there.

I would move away from there.
