why is my attorney holding on to my money over a month the insurance has paid the claim .t was in a car accident.

You need to ask him ... by way of a LETTER. Don't use a telephone at all. MAIL a paper letter to his office, and keep a copy.

If you don't hear from him in ten days, you should contact the state bar.
