Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas
auto accident rearended injuries
My son and I were hit in the rear. My son was taken by amulance due to neck pain. Further results showed now permanant injury. His medical bills are 1450.00 the insurance adjuster says 2000.00 is fair for a total settlement. They want us to accept this along with no future medical. I having back injuries before know that pain does come back and do not think this is a fair settlement. They have sent a release and want to settle. I have asked for future medical to no avail. Any suggestions|?

I shudder to think of you asking these questions at this stage of your claim.
Settlement should not even be thought of until the full extent, duration, seriousness of your injuries are known, and the treatments and costs to heal them as well.
Only someone very unwise or desperately poor will consider settlement until all the numbers are in, and then they will undoubtedly leave mega bucks on the table.
This is not an area for amatures. You need professional assistance.

Re: auto accident rearended injuries
You should absolutely NOT consider any settlement until you are sure of medical prognosis. You have a 2 year statute of limitations in most cases so there is no hurry. There are many factors which will effect ultimate value of the claim, some of which simply cannot be known now.
Do not sign any releases until you consult with a lawyer who is familiar with your local venue and PI cases.
