Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

back hurt in car wreck

I just got a new 99 s10 and it die on me in the street and I got rear end by a u-haul truck.The person that rented the u-haul was not driving and didn't have insurance.the person that was driving didn't have insurance or a driver license.who would I go after for this? GM,U-Haul,person that rented the truck or the driver ?

If there was some defect in the U-haul truck, i.e defective brakes, you might be able to make a claim against the company. The claim against GM is weak to non-existent. You would have to show that there was some manufacturing defect in the vehicle. The best claim is against the driver and the person who rented the vehicle; but if they don't have insurance, you're swimming upstream.
