Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas
Bouncers used Excessive Force
I went to a strip club last night with some friends. There was a guy we met and he was letting us drink his Grey Goose alcohol that he had in a cooler. He went upstairs, left the bottle downstairs. When I went to get some of the Grey Goose, the bouncer grabbed me and told me not to get any. Well, i guess i got irritated when he grabbed me, so when he wasn't watching I went to the cooler again. Before I could get to it, he ran up, grabbed me and started escorting me out. I wasn't even fighting with him, I was cooperating with the escort. But when we got to the door, another bouncer assisted by picking up my feet (I'm 5'5, & weigh 120 lbs). When we got outside, the bouncers threw me, face first, onto the parking lot. I hit the cement, which caused a bruise on my arm and a few cuts on my elbow. We then left.
I have pretty credible witness because my friend is a police officer and saw what happened. I know I was in the wrong for agitating the bouncer, but I don't think that gives them the right to pick me up and throw me on the concrete parking lot, face first. Especially when I was cooperating and not trying to fight them. I feel they took advantage of my small size.
Based on the facts, is it worth further pursing?

Re: Bouncers used Excessive Force
Based on your account, it was an unnecessary use of force. You should consult with an attorney regarding your damages to see if an attorney will take it on a contingent fee basis. Without medical bills, I expect most lawyers would not want to accept your case.
