There is no average. Everycase is different. For victims not represented by an attorney, it might be 25% of your medical bills -- or less.

There is not a magic formula. Insurance companies will weigh (rightly or wrongly) many different factors when determining the value of a case. Additionally, many companies are skeptical of all soft tissue claims, and will "lowball" accordingly.
