Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

I was in a car accident back in April of this this year.

I was t-boned by a kid who rana red light. Now his insurance is trying to settlr on my claim for about 1,600 dollars. Out of that, i need to sign release of all claims form and pay 800 dollars for workmans comp medical bills. That leaves me a net payment of 800 dollars. I had a shoulder contusion and was in pain for 7 weeks and feel that this settlement is ridiculous. What is a fair amount?

It is difficult to determine the value of a case. However, it does seem like a low ball offer for a T-bone collision with clear liability. Still, more facts would be important, such as the amount of your property damage, the amount of your medical bills, the severity of your injuries, whether liability was clear, whether the other driver had been drinking, whether there are witnesses to the incident, whether there is a police report that finds the other driver at fault, etc. I would be happy to discuss your claims with you. Give me a call at your convenience. Sincerely, Carl
