Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

Car accident

My husband, 2 year old child, and I were chased down a highway and run off the road in our SUV. The man in the car that hit us pulled up in front of our car so we go back on the road and drove the the police station as fast as we could. He confronted us in the parking lot and realized he had the wrong car. But Ive had PT and still take meds for pain. He was tried and plea bargained, w/o restitution. The drivers stupidity almost killed us and has changed my life drastically. should't he have some financial responsibility? He had no insurance.

There is not enough information here for me to advise you. Did the other car actually hit your car, or did it run it off the road?
