Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

My car was hit by a coworker leaving work back in January 2012 however I was unaware f the accident until I got off 2 hours later and walked outsde and noticed my c was hit. I didnt call police to file a report. A week or so later the coworker confessed to hitting my car & stated will get it fixed & asked me to get estimates. I've gotten detailed estimates and asked the coworker for insurance information several times and so far nothing. What should I do now inorder to get my car fixed.? I dont evenknow if he has insurance because he keeps saying he is waiting on his mechanic to take look at estimate.

Don't worry about police reports.

Draft a petition (for a lawsuit against him) and show it to him. Tell him you won't wait any more; give him a time deadline (say May 31) and a money amount. On June 1, go to the local Justice Court and sue him.

He's jacking with you. He needs to be motivated. Stop being so nice.
