Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

Car Wreck

I was involved in a car wreck - it was the others fault - police report not ready until tomorow, can't drive my car - too damaged, need a rental, have to wait for report for their insurance then must get approval and claim # from their insurance companies adjustor, need a rental right away as I am a single mom and need to use my car to work and get around. Quickest way to get a rental car Tomorow without having to pay out of my pocket?

Well you said it. You can't get a rental car until the ins. co. approves. Don't be surprised that this is not as important to them as it is to you. Somtimes this can take a week or 10 days if you're lucky. Could be a couple of weeks. What can you do? Nothing.

Unfortunately, there is no "quickest way to get a rental car tomorrow without having to pay out of my pocket." No insurance company moves this quickly. If you have rental reimbursement through your own carrier, it is possible they will arrange for a rent car for you. However, with the Christmas holidays, you'll be lucky if you can even get anybody to answer the phone. Insurance companies do everything possible to impose hardship on you so that you will be more likely to settle for whatever you can get. Your best bet is to hire a personal injury attorney, let him do his job, and be patient. Only by doing things correctly will you have any hope of collecting the damages to which you are entitled.
