Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas
My children participate in numerous sports, both through local leagues as well as through school. We are always required to sign a waiver of liability in order for them to participate. Does this waiver of liability prevent responsibility when there is negligence involved?

That's precisely what waivers are for. Whether a particular waiver will have that effect in a particular case will depend upon the facts and on how the waiver was written.
