Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

I let me daughter borrow my car to go to work. While she was at work, a friend came in and ask to borrow the car-she let him. He wrecked my car and totaled it. He was the only one in the car and went off the side of a road and hit a private wrought iron fence. He gave the police officer my insurance information from the glove department and thinks that I have to pay for the insurance deductible and the rest of my car loan- the value that the insurance company is giving me is about $5500 short of what I owe on my car loan. Do I have any legal rights to have him pay esepcially since I didn't give him permission to drive my car?
