call me 972 839 4495 but do not settle with person at fault without permission from the insuance company for the car and any policy you may have covrering you...Also, there may be other sources of payment for your injuries..lawyers earn thir fees generally
You should hire an attorney to help you find sources of $ for your bills and to negotiate reductions in your bills. Let me know if I can help.
You need to hire an attorney. You would get the policy limits from the at-fault vehicle and any underinsured motorist coverage from the car you were riding in as well as your own UIM policy. I would be glad to talk to you about this. 512-472-8318
There's a reason that everyone is telling you to hire a lawyer. It's very easy to mess up a case like this. To answer your question, there may be other policies in place that can kick in, but you have to follow their rules to the letter. Typically, there will be one or more underinsured motorist coverages that you would need to apply for. However, there are notice and permission requirements that the UIM carriers will insist upon.
Because most (if not all) injury lawyers give free initial consultations, call a few and see which one you like best.
