Re: fall injury
It depends. Usually, an insurance company calls you and takes a recorded statement not to help you, but to help them. They are gathering information they will later use to deny your claim. That's why most attorneys advise that you NEVER speak to an insurance company without having your attorney on the line to protect your rights. Slip-and-fall accidents are some of the most difficult to prove and win in Texas. If your wife has serious injuries (more than just one or two visits to the doctor) you would be wise to hire an attorney.
