Financially Responsible Party in Car Collision

If a person is driving someone else's vehicle and causes a collision, is the owner of the vehicle responsible for damamges?

Possibly..but the insurance for the owner will pay and then the insureance for the driver takes over..If no insurance, the driver is responsible and the owner may be if it knew the driver was not a good driver

Generally not. If you allow someone to drive your vehicle and they are impaired or do not have a driver's license, then you can be sued for negligently entrusting your vehicle.

Your auto insurance will pay if you gave permission to the person to drive so long as the person is not a member of your household who is excluded.
