Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

New frac hand with Halliburton fresh out of training. Sent to the oil fields without the required PPE (respirator and h2s monitor). I notified my supervisor and he said not to worry about it. I was working on the sand hopper and was exposed to fine silica frac sand due to not being issued the respirator. I was also not being monitored for deadly h2s gas at anytime. My frac crew left me out in the oil fields (after an 18 hr shift) on a worksite and returned to the hotel without me. I notified my supervisor and he said stay with the next shift unless I could find a ride (no ride was available). I ended up staying 3 18 hour shifts in a row without required PPE. Due to these unsafe working conditions - I quit. Halliburton tried to rehire me, but I do not feel safe working for them.

Do I have a case?

C/N recover for possibility of future illness, unless you have some present medically verifiable consequence of exposure to silica or HS2. No presently discernible consequence, no negligence case.

Is there a workers comp case? Maybe, but the criteria is still the same: Injured? Damages?
