Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

We have full coverage for our auto insurance.two years ago our son 17 years old that time who is on our policy had a collision.no injury that time,our car was paid so was other party.now almost two years later we are being sued.what should we do?do we need a lawyer or our former insurance company should take care of it?

Your former insurance company should take care of it. I'm assuming that your son was not an excluded driver under the policy. Also, you have a duty to PROMPTLY inform the insurance company that your son has been sued (and you have to provide them a copy of the lawsuit.) Make sure you document everything you do from this point forward (day you called the insurance company, who you spoke to, claim numbers, etc.) The insurance company should appoint you a lawyer, but you have to follow the rules set forth in your policy.
