Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

Glass in ice cream

cut my mouth with glass found in ice cream company that Manufactur the ice cream called yesturday wanted the glass we refused said we were getting lawyer,they had us email pic of glass to them later that night they called back and left message said they know what it is and would like to settle with out us getting lawyer,what amount would you ask for in something like this?
