Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

hit and run on private property resulting in injury

I was hit by a speeding motorcycle on private property (a trailer park). The driver, who doesn't live in the trailer park, did not stop. Both my legs and one hip was broken. He has no insurance, nor did the bikes owner. Who can i rightfully sue and how do I go about it?

Re: hit and run on private property resulting in injury

you are entitled to bring an action against both the driver and owner. the owner may be liable for negligently entrusting the vehicle to the driver. you do not say but i assume you were not in a vehicle when the collision occurred. if by chance you were in your vehicle when it occurred you may be able to pursue benefits under your own auto liability policy for personal injury protection ("PIP") and/or uninsured motorist benefits. hope this helps. bill featherston

If you have uninsured motorist coverage on a vehicle you own, you may make a claim under your own policy. You would be wise to hire an attorney to help you with this.
