Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

Hi, I was hot by a car back in 2005 and I made a suit against the lady who hit me but hurricane katrina happened and I have lost contact with the lawyer and now I cannot take the pins out my ankle unless I pay the hospital? What should I do?
