Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

Infection from Surgery

I had ACL surgery on my knee in the summer of 1998. My leg was infected from the time I left the hospital. I had to have two more operations to clean up my leg and to remove any infection left. I had to remain in the hospital another week and missed a month of work due to these surgeries. My recovery was hampered by these surgeries. The screw that held my new ACL in place worked its way out of my lower leg.

The doctor also hit a nerve that caused lack of feeling in my lower leg near my ankle. I have circulation problems in that area. I have gone to a doctor for this.

My question is can I sue the doctor at this date and time. It has been a little over two years.

Re: Infection from Surgery

In order to sue the doctor you would have to show that he treated you for this condition within 2 years. You may still be within the statute of limitation. If you want to talk to me about this, call 1-877-320-5232. Thanks
