Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas
Injuried in an accident, not sure what to do
I was in an auto accident and I have some injuries to my head, neck, shoulders, back & foot. Mostly muscle spams. The insurance company of the other driver has excepted all liability, but I am not sure what dollar amount I could ask for. I will have some of these injuries for an on going basis. Could someone please tell me a ball park $amount I should or can ask for?

Your question cannot be answered until you have finished medical treatment and all the bills and reports are in. Your question depends upon the amount of medical bills, whether or not you are assigned a degree of whole body impairment, and other factors.
You need a consultation with a PI attorney. You run a real risk of leaving money behind in your settlement if you are not an expert in this area.

Generally, a PI attorney can obtain a greater settlment for you that you can obtain on your own - even allowing for their contingent fee percentage.

Re: Injuried in an accident, not sure what to do
The value of your claim depends on a numbers of factors, such as your total medical bills, lost wages, any lasting injuries, and the degree of any liability that may be attributed to you. Also, any prior injuries and/or claims can be a factor.
If you need further assistance, I would suggest that you consult with an attorney who handles personal injury claims. Let me know if I can be of any further assistance.
Re: Injuried in an accident, not sure what to do
There are many factors which determine value of a claim, some of which have been mentioned in prior answeres. Other factors include the county where you can sue- either where accident happened or where defendant lives. There can be major differences between different counties.
Talk to a PI lawyer familiar to the local county.
