Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas
injury from accident in august, 1990
in 8-99 I was rear-ended and settled with the insurance company of the driver who hit me. I was driving a 1988 chevrolet cavalier and the seat broke on the inside of the driver's seat. I was at a stand still when this happened, and the other vehicle was running about 45-50 miles per hr. I was slung forward, with seatbelt on, and then slung backwards into the rear seat of my car. I had C5 neck injuries and L5 back injury. I went to a chiropractor for these injuries at that time. In Dec, 1998 I had to have C5 operated on, the disk had ruptured. No previous problems before this accident. And March 6, 2001,I had to go back into surgery for C4 and C5 operation. C4 was almost gone and the fusion had started spilling over and a bone spur was found. A titaniumn plate with 3 screws, bone from bone bank had to replace C4. I have felt like for many years this was all cause from the car seat breaking and i do have pictures of the seat and where it broke. i would like to suit ''General Motors''. Please tell me if I have any recourse.

You may have a product liability claim against GM and/or the seat manufacturer and/or the fastner system manufacturer.
