Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

Injury at a party on private property

I'm holding a birthday party at my house. I live in Texas. It will be an outdoor party. My homeowner's ins doesn't have personal injury protection for others. If a child gets hurt, am I responsible? If so, can I have each parent sign a waiver saying that I am not responsible for any injuries?

If your negligence or an unreasonably dangerous condition causes injury, then you can be liable for the ensuing damages. You should seriously consider adding liability coverage to your policy if it does not already provide you with it. If you have insurance to protect you, then you don't have to worry about waivers or offending guests.

For a good waiver you should consult with an attorney.
