Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

Liable for Medical Costs

I recently ended a 4 year relationship after finding out that my partner had been cheating. A month before the breakup, I was diagnosed with genital herpes and a chronic steph infection which I got from him. Not sure if he had prior knowledge of his condition; if he did, he never told me. He did however make a comment saying ''he felt that this was something he had had for a while.'' Since then, I have incurred several hundred dollars in doctor's visits, blood tests, prescription drugs, etc. and will continue to be on an antiviral drug indefinitely. What recourse do I have, if any, to receive some compensation from him for these medical bills?

Re: Liable for Medical Costs

You can certainly sue him for the personal injuries and mental anguish. The problem is how are you going to collect from him. What does he have to pay you the thousands of $ that you want to recoup?
