Write a letter to the police department (a PAPER letter) and ask for it pursuant to provisions of the Freedom of Information Act. Here's what the letter should say:
Please consider this letter to be a request under the
Freedom of Information Act for a copy of the police report
for the incident that occurred on March 21, 2010 at 2103
Elm Street, Houston, Texas 77067.
Be sure that you sign the letter, and be sure that you include your address.
