Should a person in a car crash that is injured always get 3 times the medical bills in pain and suffering?

Unfortunately it doesn't work that way. However, you can be awarded damages from multiple drivers if it can be shown they were both at fault but it would be based on comparative responsibility. If you suffered injuries as a result of someone else's negligence, you're entitled to recover past and future medical costs, lost wages in the past and future, disfigurement, and pain and suffering in the past and future.
