Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

Personal Injury

I was duped by a person who led me to believe they would pay for me to return to school and I would be working for her family. This person was a scam-artist. She opened new banking accounts in my name, deposited counterfiet checks, used my credit card number for multiple transactions.

She told the police we were a couple and I was arrested along with her because of a counterfiet check she used.

I have lost everything as a result of the actions of this criminal. I have a strong civil lawsuit case against this person but how do I find out her worth. I have belief that her mother and sister were also helping in this scam. Her mother is retired and her sister is an attorney in California.

I now live in Texas with my parents.

Re: Personal Injury

You can hire a private investigator to do an asset search. Also, if you take a judgment against her in your civil case, you can conduct post-judgment discovery to try and locate assets.
