Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

personal injury and immigration

I have a friend that has lived here more than 20 year and an illegal. resently got hurt doing some work for someone and got burned, hired an attorney for personal injury and now in jail. and facing deportation. how can they still go through with the personal injury case. while in jail.?

Being in jail doesn't preclude a person from prosecuting a case. In most situations the person can execute a power of attorney document and allow a trusted friend or family member to continue the case on his behalf.
