Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

I have PIP, which paid for my chiropractic visits after I was rear ended in an auto accident. The insurance co. of the party that hit me wants to know how much I paid out of pocket and how much my insurance paid of my medical bills. Am I required to tell them I paid nothing out of pocket, or do I just submit my medical bills without explanation? I am in Texas and the accident occurred in Texas.

You have a duty to cooperate. Health insurance often has a lien under ERISA law and, if so, would have to be repaid out of the PIP. PIP policies allow the insurance co. to pay the chiropractor directly. If you want the money paid directly to you, please contact me to discuss.
