A man was injured in a truck accident and is in a coma. Paperwork for disability the hospital needs to be filled out. He has no POA, seperated from spouse and has 2 daughters. What are their options? Is there a limited POA or will they have to get gaurdianship of the person.

As others have mentioned, a person must be competent to sign a POA. You'll need a guardianship. You will also need a personal injury lawyer to help with the accident (assuming he wasn't at fault). Feel free to call us if you'd like to discuss this further.
Re: POWER OF ATTORNEY /car accident
The POA can only be signed when a person is conscious and lucid. So that's out. A will can only be signed when a person has knowledge of what they're doing. So that's out. What you need is a guardianship. You have to file for an application at the courthouse. If you don't have time to figure how to do this, hire a lawyer. Good Luck.
