Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

Release In Full of All Claims - Settlement

Auto Accident in July, while driving my truck, hit from behind while stopping. I was under chiropractic care for a month and the plaintiffs insurance company paid the bill.

His insurance company sent me a release of all claims and rights in the sum of $500.00., which I refused. Same letter two week later indicates in now $2200.00, which I accepted.

Received the check but it only $500, I inquiry and they tell them that included the medical bills.

Appears the insurance company tried a bait and switch.

What to do next?

Re: Release In Full of All Claims - Settlement

You can ask the insurance company to return the release to you and write you a letter stating that it agrees there was a misunderstanding and that your claim for damages has not been released and is still outstanding.
