Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas
School Fights
Two years ago my daughter got into a fight with another student because he first punched her in the face, due to an argument. As a parent, am I allowed to press charges against the student, or his parents if this happens again?

Re: School Fights
You can talk with the district attorney's office regarding criminal charges. If your daughter is under 18, you, as next friend, can sue the student for civil damages. Generally, parents are not responsible for the torts of their children. Under some circumstances you might be able to sue the parents, but much more information is needed.
