What a fair settlement amount would be involves many factors that need to be explored. The case you presented is comprised of various elements of damages including, but not limited to, past medical bills, future medical bills, pain and suffering both past and future, and lost earnings, past and future. How and if you have presented these claims will weigh heavily in the insurnace adjuster's analysis of your claim, and in turn what will be paid. Once these factors are expanded on, the next question to consider is the adjuster's perspective of you representing yourself or your attorney's handling of the matter to date. Another significant factor that does not deal with the "fair amount" as much it deals with what will be actually paid, is: what insurance company are you dealing with?
